today is saturday

Saturday. i was supposed to meet my friend Jazmine and her family, but they had a previous engagement. Jazmine promised to call me that night to give me details on where they would reside while on vacation here in the philippines. at around 5.30 pm, i had to get ready to go to my cousin's house for dinner. i havent seen my cousin kara for a while, so i was looking forward to it. my cousin is ever so fabulous as always. we helped prepare part of the dinner as well. we had steak, prawns, lasagna, garlic bread, mashed potatoes and gravy. we were supposed to bring dessert, but we werent able to agree on it so it meant we didnt have dessert. but from all those mouth-watering dishes we had, i dont think anyone had space for dessert anyway. my youngest bro tells us that kara's house is spooky. well... my cousin is uber loaded... so i guess that would explain why they have such a big place and so much space. i always look forward to these simple dinners we have, for i like seeing Kara (she and i were born in the same year) we get along well i suppose. we have similar likes i guess. she was the one who introduced jrock and kpop to me. after a few hours, it was time to bid them all farewell with the promise we'd go shopping sometime soon. as i got home, i realized that i didnt get Jazmine's call. i wonder what happened...

Yoon So Na

makati plaza hotel is located near station 168. it just so happened that tina and binnie lives there too. i had little trouble getting to the hotel and meeting my long lost student Jazmine, though there was some difficulty in parking my car. i was very happy to have met Jazmine and her mom. they were both very nice to me... tina talked to her mom while i talked to Jazmine.... after an eternity, Jazmine's bro came into the room and for the life of me, ive yet to remember his name. they were living with another family in that room. when most of the other family came, they decided we should all get something to eat. we had to go form two separate groups since we couldnt fit 9 humans into a single taxi. we met up at glorietta and we ended up at the food court, they couldnt decide where to eat. it was their treat, Jazmine's mom wouldnt stop apologizing for not treating us to a real korean lunch... i didnt know what to say to that. she promised to treat me to a korean feast the next time we meet? how am i to reply to this? its so heartwarming... shes been so nice to me... i dont know how to respond. we went back their hotel and took some pictures. i had to leave early so i wouldnt get caught in traffic but i had so much fun i didnt mind getting hell in traffic. so far so good.. its just too bad she moved to qc.. now itll be harder to see Jazmine... but ill still try... i wouldnt wanna waste this oppurtunity for if they go back to korea, itll be a while before i see her again. gotta make the most of this right?

codename:LDG

today, i got up and rushed to finish some errands and break in the new guy... the alternate for jason... i hear the low tech version of young gunz... my cel... i got a text from uchi... she was... very excited.. lee dong gun arrived early morning and will make an appearance at gma seven... and was currently staying at this hotel... in makati. of course, i had the chance, why dont i go see this korean for myself? i made plans with uchi, got permission and got myself dropped off the hotel lobby. i even pleaded with my korean friend to help me locate this celebrity. we werent able to see him, but we were able to get some info, like which floor he was in and what he was doing at the moment. that hotel's security was tight though... we werent allowed to wander the halls... we were forced to wait at the lobby... good thing i had company... i wasnt too bored... waiting is a bitch... we passed time and we were able to meet the star's manager here in the philippines. he was very nice and offered to help us, though he said the chances of that were very slim. my korean friends had to leave, so i had to sit and wait for uchi. when she arrived, we got to see a glimpse of the star. he was... i should say... strutting quickly, with his long legged strides and those efficient security people... i couldnt even get a clear shot at the guy... he appeared and was gone just like that *snaps fingers for demo* we stayed at this smoking area... but we were forced to leave it... coz there was this weird guy trying to engage uchi in a conversation... i wouldnt wanna talk to the guy either... we got to see him leave for gma and again, he was very quick for his size. his car didnt leave immediately, i was under the impression that they were taunting all those fans... and he even opened his window a bit and made the fans scream with just his fingers... the nerve... at that time, i thought he was a jerk... me and uchi talked at bit in the lobby again... good thing uchi said the chocolate shake was good... else.. it would have been a real pisser. uchi received an alert from those girls that followed the actor to gma (uchi had a friend who saw the actor at gma) so we patiently waited. when he arrived, it was the same drill, but this time i got a clear shot of him. i tried to take a pic, but he ducked and the freakin camera glared... oh my... he passed me and i followed him. uchi was right beside me asking for the actor to sign her dvd, the snobbish actor turned her down... the nerve... and then he was gone, into the elevators. uchi and i decided to just leave. i was warned by the manager, he did say that the actor wasnt very nice. too bad, his loss... if he were nicer, he wouldve gained a fan... i mean, he was good looking... but his attitude sucks.... so basically... he sorta sucks too... i got home late but i didnt mind, at least i got to meet uchi and my korean friends.. thank god or else that day wouldve been a total waste of time, energy and money. and another thing, thank god he is the first mean korean ive come across... a friend of me gave an idea, all those jerks we saw online... will now be called LDG... fitting, isnt it?

igeol deuluhboseyo!

im a little late posting this.. but heck... got up early to prepare breakfast. watched a little tube then fell asleep. i woke up a little before 10 and went around in a frenzy trying to get ready for i was supposed to meet uchi at the gate and i was running late. im not sure if it were a good or bad thing.. but uchi ran late and i couldnt get a ride to meet her halfway. my parents decided to get the cars fixed on that same day... oh well, in any case, i still got to meet uchi and ia (her sister) when she picked me up and we were off to our little "outing." we picked up uchi's friends (cherry, tina and patty) and headed to "jingoge" (koreano restaurant) and had a kick-ass korean style lunch, minus the metal chopsticks. uchi doesnt fancy veggies, but she ate it though id have to say it was pretty good. my korean friend tina joined us later and i introduced her. it was too bad she had to go back to work at the korean internet cafe. we went to myroom in taft to show uchi's friends the place (it was their first time there) and introduced her to our korean friend and owner of the shop, anggie. after sometime, our conversation veered into norebang (karaoke) and tina texted me and asked if we wanted to go with her. me, uchi and ia wanted to go and we talked anggie into tagging along. i rode with anggie in her car while ia and uchi dropped off cherry, tina and patty. we stuffed ourselves into anggie's car after picking up tina at her work. we went to a place called "joosarang" roughly translated as "alcohol love." we started out weak... summer vacation by smtown, hey dude by shinhwa, superstar by jewelry etc. but after a while we all loosened up and were laughing and singing and just having a great time. anggie, who is usually quiet, joined in the laughter and also sang her heart out. my friends got to see just how talented my friend tina is... after all, she did get professional training. ia, from the lack of sleep and the fact that she was sick was still as happy as the rest of us. uchi of course, lets just say shes the life of the party and we had more fun because of her. the five of us, uchi, ia, anggie, tina and i of course, started at around 4.30 pm and left deliriously happy at around 7 pm. tina invited us for dinner at her work which we sorta had to accept. we had some good food... mandoo (dumplings i think), tonkatsu (pork), ttobokki (that hot spicy korean dish) and ramyun (korean noodles) which were prepared by tina's great boyfriend, binny (seongbin). while tina and uchi decided to go on a cigarette break, anggie decided to have some korean ice cream and we joined her. we paid for it before tina could beat us to it... she paid for half the norebang and the dinner.. she so nice to us.. before we all knew it, it was time to head home and end the fun filled day, which we appropriately called "the korean day." we had so much fun and i do hope we could do that again sometime soon... not too soon for i will go dead broke... but you know what? it was well worth it, dont you think?

how to kill yourself with thoughts and feelings

a lot of stuff happened these past few days... lemme enumerate: FIRST of all, i couldnt drive... why? coz i didnt want to drive the stick shift... boils down to me being lazy and too chicken to go anywhere with it... SECOND... when i finally did get to leave, i was in a hurry coz the car was coding plus, it was traffic.. hell... THIRD... my former student called and declared she was coming to visit me and learn english again and of course, conveniently asked for my help to help her get by here... lodging+school+food+transpo and other crap... and her mother is coming with her... i feel the pressure. FOURTH.. sir didnt call about the job i was supposed to be getting.. does that mean i didnt get the job? hell... FIFTH.. how the heck am i supposed to help my lil bro raise his grades when he refuses to learn? i mean, i have experience being a teacher, but its a known fact that my siblings dont exactly know what it means to have an onni... they have this weird idea planted into their brains that they are higher than me, irregardless of age, and that they could do whatever they want, say whatever they want and so on... someone please take over that job... SIXTH.. my mother started complaining about the car... its hard to open the door to the driver's seat and she suspects i took it somewhere with me where it almost got stolen. hell... does she really think id do that on purpose? why would i want our car to get stolen? who would? honestly.. SEVENTH.. a friend asked me the other day why i seemed to be predictable these days... what? what was that supposed to mean? also claimed im usually not tame... tame? ill show you what's tame... ** EIGHTH.. i received a note from a company. they were demanding i submit my entry for the next issue... what the.. im not even employed by that company... my friend works there and she suggested i submit my work, which ive done until last year... i told her i wont be submitting anything anytime soon... i think i dont i have enough patience to write novels and stories... now here's the company threatening to sue if i dont make the deadline... can they even sue someone not bound to them by a signature? NINTH.. i went to the province thinking i lost my grandpa. my dad came and announced we were going, he didnt look like he wanted any arguments, but i still asked, he shrugged and my mother refused to tell me anything. it did occur to me that i could ask my aunts, but then again.. i wasnt sure how to address them... i couldnt go like " hey tita... did grandpa get sick or something? my dad looks like he wants to bloody someone" i didnt want to upset anyone so i just kept my mouth shut and tried not to let my thoughts get ahead of me, afterall, there is no evidence that something bad has happened, apart from all the scowling my parents were doing... i dressed in haste, in black of course. my mother would usually berate my fashion sense and clothing preferences but oddly enough, she didnt say anything when she saw me... which fueled my already racing thoughts... what the heck has happened? why wont they tell me anything? now im beside myself with worry... i love my grandpa and i dont know what id do if anything happened to him.. i wore an all black outfit coz i was under the impression that we were going there to pay respects coz my grandpa was in the hospital a few days before and my folks refused to talk about it. i figured if i were wrong (which i normally am), nobody would mind my clothes since they do know i have this fixation for black and dark drab colors and i didnt want to look like im going to the mall or something. (by the time we pulled over, my head was about to explode... it was getting damn difficult to mask my emotions) when i got there, balloons and people and tons of food welcomed me. what the hell? who mourns like this? i had this shimmer of hope that i was utterly wrong in my deduction and i went into the house in search of answers, preferably from one of my aunts but by the time i tracked one of them down in the chaos that was supposed to be my father's ancestral home, i got my answer. grandpa was nowhere in sight and still, there was this other question... why in blazes were there humans making a racket outside of the house plus the fact that they brought their own videoke machine? the answer was quick and swift and it came in the form of a little boy. the little boy raced into the house and slammed into me. i didnt see him, he didnt even reach my waist in height. the boy apologized nonstop while running in the other direction, probably in search of his mama. the thing that he dragged caught my attention: a big sky blue (GOD's colors... too bad) balloon ( with helium inside though if im not mistaken, its illegal to inflate balloons that way or have i just lost it?) HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY RENZON FROM MAMA AND PAPA. bloody hell. im at my cousin's festive birthday party in black.
