It's Friday Night

Thank God the net is back. Now after waiting for several hours, i get my chance on the net. It feels good to be back and its better late than never, to post i mean. I've been sick lately... the Finnish calls it "mahatauti." So, how was my week aside from getting sick? I was able to recover before Friday. Uchi invited me to meet her friend Katie, have Korean dinner and go to Joosarang for norebang. Unfortunately, due to the traffic, i ran late and i couldnt eat much at Sangsun. The food was so good but my stomach was protesting and refused to let me eat more than a few bites of some dishes. After my other companions, Uchi, Ia, Katie, Tina and Patty tried to finish off the rest of our meal, we said our goodbye's. Katie will be going back to Korea today and had other appointments to keep. Ia on the other hand, had work to go, plus a meeting with supervisors. After watching them hail cabs, it was down to the four of us. After arriving at Joosarang, we had to switch from VIP rm 8 to rm 1 since the sound system wasnt very good with the former. Tina and Patty enjoyed their first time in a Korean Norebang and sang a couple of songs, but of course, there is the undying "Superstar" by Jewelry. We only stayed for an hour, since our friends would be commuting and it was getting rather late. After dropping Tina and Patty off, we were off to Starbucks. I promised Uchi I would treat her. We were fortunate enough to get a parking spot near the cafe since the window of Uchi's car was giving her problems. The window didn't go all the way up to close and refused to cooperate with Uchi when she tried to work with it. We just watched the car from our seats while she showed me her new Kpop stuff. Katie came back from Korea and delivered Uchi's ordered goods. After finishing off her drink, Uchi drove me home. I also bought a drink, but I knew my stomach wouldn't like it, I had my sister drink it instead. It was nice to finally meet Katie and see Tina and Patty again. Also seeing Ia and Uchi again... Well, that was my Friday night.. It's been a while...

Too much fun can knock you out cold

My pc has arrived and is now working. Thank the gods. I got up earlier than usual, only getting around 4 hours of sleep. I had to play chauffer for my little brother, who i think made an error about their class meeting time. I went to the market and did some shopping. My folks took me to market market later that day. I had to take the cake I made for Uchi too. She lives in Taguig so they picked me up from Market market. We went directly to Station 168 (after making a quick stop at an ATM machine by Pricesmart). We went to see Tina and conversed for a while. Anggie and Choonil obba were on the way and they werent sure when Kix would arrive. Binnie took Tina's car and went shopping at SM. While waiting, I got to help Tina cook some of the orders that came in. Kix arrived a few minutes after Anggie. Tina suggested we go ahead to the norebang and they would just catch up. We took two cars to Joosarang. Im under the impression the guard and receptionists recognize us already (obviously, we frequent their establishment.. a little too much i guess). Uchi (I think) was able to bargain our way into a big room for the same price as a smaller room, with the intention of switching to the smaller room when it becomes available. I think the machine in the big room was broken so I think it was better when we went into VIP rm 4, though it was packed. Tina and binnie arrived a few minutes later. It was the first time, the whole "gang" was complete. What better way to enjoy than norebang? Apart from the fact that we sort of murder the korean language, we all have fun. We had the 'spilling' accident for the second time, though i believe it was coke this time. We did our national anthem, superstar by jewelry and a bunch of other songs. We sang new, old, usual and unusual songs. We didnt spend much time at norebang this time around for Anggie and Choonil had to go to Greenhills, for the opening of their new store which i shall dub, "My Room 2nd." Before 1900h, we took a "group/class photo outside Joosarang, bid our friends Anggie and Choonil goodbye and thanked them for the lovely time at norebang. Next, we were off to SunSam. It was originally planned that we go to NorthPark for some Chinese, but Uchi changed her mind and decided to treat us to authentic (its close enough atleast) Korean food. It's her birthday and its choosok too.. so why not? I told her I tried the food there a few days back and loved it. We thought it was better than Jingoge, so I guess there was only one way to find out... We had some japchae, pork kalbi, soft tofu soup, spicy squid, tons of side dish and other stuff (which i cant name). We were all basically stuffed up to our heads. I think the food was just right too. Tina tried to pay for the bill, but Uchi refused it. The sisters also had a laugh with word spellings. Overly full to the brim, we stuffed ourselves into our designated vehicles and went back to station 168. Tina insisted we eat cake, but the thought of another bite was just really out of the question. We had a nice chat instead and it was time to go home. It was past 2100h and Ia was quite ready to fall asleep, since shes been awake since 0630 the day before. Needless to say, we marched to the Uchi's car and were on our way home. At my house, i discovered that no one was home, and I was still in the mood to go out. I asked my friends but Ia was so tired, they didnt have the heart to disturb her. I ended up watching Shinhwa instead. It was rather enjoyable. *grin* Today, I got up at around past 1400h and it was Uchi's official birthday now, so I had to text her, better late than never... Obviously, I was so tired that i slept the day away...

Blackout. How nice, isnt it? First, our pc gets busted and is taken away for reformatting, now there is no electricity? Just when i thought it couldnt possibly get any worse, it was raining so hard, water was getting into the house. Our corridor was getting flooded and many (the light ones) were getting thrashed about by the strong winds. The next day, I had to take my brother to his rehearsal for a school performance. But alas, we got so lost that by the time we found the place, my brother's classmates were already heading home. We had to find this area in a base, so we decided to ask soldiers. I mean, it's a base, therefore, soldiers should know their area right? Wrong... They didnt even have a clue as to what we were talking about. Some soldiers kept giving us wrong directions that we had to backtrack so much until I decided we were lost enough and had to get real directions. We went to his school and got what we needed, too bad we were too late. My little brother had to settle with some Mcdonald's delivery. Later that afternoon, i met some my godfather who helped me get an appointment, to try and get work that is... Later that night, we got our cpu back. Pretty boring huh?

internet, koreans, tenants and bread

I got four hours of sleep before I had to start on my errands. Though my mother was late and she had the car I would use. My appointment was from 0800 to 1000h, good thing they still let me in at 1015h. I got back home and tried to go online but i got disconnected too many times that I just gave up. I left around lunchtime to meet Tina at 168. There, she introduced me to Mr. Cha and Mr. Son. Mr. Son treated us to lunch at SunSam. I dropped them off at 168. I rushed to my other appointment. I was running late, and to make matters worse, it was raining. Rains meant traffic. I finally reached my grandmother's house at around 1500h. I met with the new tenant, checked her references and identification and signed the lease contracts. I did a check on the house, the damages that the previous jerk who rented it incurred (was that even the right word to use?). I listed all complaints by the new tenant and made a mental note: this new tenant is full of shit. Shes going to try something soon but I dont think her crap will work on my mom. My mom is used to this game already and she's far too smart. This should be interesting. On my way home, i got some Pan de Manila. I used the tenant's rent to pay for it. He he he.

i left the house to go to the meeting place early, with fear that i might get caught in traffic. too late, i was caught in traffic and i was stuck for 10 minutes, right outside 168. all i needed to do was to go in the parking space but the other motorists werent being very generous and werent letting me through. at long last, there was this nice fellow in a big van that let me through and i got to park right in front of 168. i hung out with tina and binnie in their kitchen for i was really early and uchi did say they would be running late. we decided to watch some korean stuff while killing time. at around 1830h, i think the sisters arrived.kix brought along her team mate to celebrate with us. tina and binnie wrapped up and we stuffed ourselves into uchi's van. we opted to take just one vehicle, so we didnt have to worry about parking two cars. luckily, joosarang wasnt packed today and this time, we got to use VIP room number 2. we had some drinks and started with our usual song, "superstar" by jewelry ( i feel like this song's our national anthem for some reason)uchi brought her cheat sheets and ia, ela, kix and uchi used it. caissa, kix's team mate, was rather shy at first but later joined in. the songs were beckoning her to join.. hehe. there was a little mishap with a spilled iced tea but other than that, no more booboos. as usual, binnie decided to entertain us and sing all types of songs, different genres. we all sang along and danced when we knew it. it was kix's first time to join us and i could really see that she thoroughly enjoyed herself. we sang korean and english songs. as usual, tina and binnie liked to 'abort' the song early. binnie was still 'the stop man'. i was pretty sure uchi and kix impressed us (me, tina and binnie) with their sleek dance moves. with her dance movesi brought uchi some cake but it was all forgotten once we started singing. we even forgot about having dinner and it was all the norebang's fault. binie and tina had to leave early to go back to work but we also left joosarang soon after. we dropped off caissa at her house before heading back to 168. uchi decided to get some dinner. tina and binnie were rushing to prepare the food not knowing we ordered it. i had to leave soon for my dad was already looking for me and his car. haha.. i took his car since it was the one all gased up. i had a little bite of the food, though i wasnt really hungry at the time but since my friends prepared it, i wanted to eat some. there was so much food that binnie had to help us devour it all. there was bibimbap, ttobokki, mandoo and japchae (yummy) and the sides that came with it. at around past 2300, we all bade the koreans farewell. i was the first one to leave and i was home in under 10 minutes. there wasnt much traffic due to trucks, thank god. i was surprised to see my dad waiting for me to return. then he commented that i took his car. i just grinned at him and argued it had the most gas. he gave me a funny look and went to sleep. i called tina to tell her i got home safely and to thank her.i was so tired and lacked so much sleep that after hanging up, i was dead to the world as soon as i hit the bed (i dont use a pillow). next week, its my good friend's saengil.. i wonder if my folks will let me go..as far as i know, that day was great and the lack of sleep was well worth it.

san mig light

like most saturdays, im usually up by 7.30 but go back to sleep (since im quite lazy) and get up at around 11 am. today i had to take my lil brothers to the mall for lunch and games. first, we went to teriyaki boy and had some japanese cuisine (id post a pic, but ill get hungry) and received balloons (one for me and my lil bro nikki). outside the mall were guys painted in silver pretending to be statues but suddenly jerk and move around when you least expect it. it was quite interesting (again, id post a pic but i just cant right now). next, we headed off to timezone to let my lil brothers play for a while. next up was the grocery, where as always, my adorable lil brothers fight over who gets to push the cart (its silly, really). at national, i had to purchase some things for my other brother. at watson's, i had to pick up some things for my sister. it was getting late but we still had to get one last thing. ice cream. korean kiss sweet ice cream to be exact. im actually after the free balloon that i might get not the sweets itself... i got to taste the melon flavor this time, and well, it tasted like melons (like we'd expect something else... like err... mangoes perhaps...). it was time to head home and good thing we got into the car before it started raining. my parents and sister went to a debut. i had a good time today, i got to have some japanese grub and two balloons! horay for me! i wonder if my day can get any better... then i get a text from uchi and this text led us to the idea of meeting at starbucks. i called tina and persuaded her to join us. we (me, uchi, ia, tina and binie) met up at 168 and marched to joosarang. after consuming some beer, binie let loose and entertained us well. he is a good singer and we enjoyed his performance. tina also did her share of award-winning solos as well. uchi and i along with ia (there were only two microphones) tag-teamed and sang "it's raining men" and got a 100 grade. its either we girls were really good or the machine was broken (or its fixed to give grades which may range from 90-100). binnie humored us with more songs which include: shinhwa's YO, Psy's CHAMPION and clon and hyun jinyoung song (for the life of me, i cannot remember most of the songs). it was getting late and tina beat us to the bill (again). to my delight, we agreed to go to starbucks and chill for a while but i had to get home before 12, so like the last time, i had to cut everyone's time short. i wondered if this day could get any better... well, obviously (like you havent figured that out with that length of this messy post) it did! hmmm... binie obba was more outgoing than usual... i wonder what he ate or DRANK today to cause such behavior...
